Der False Color filter hilft dem Anwender die Kamerahelligkeit richtig einzustellen. Nach dem justieren der Kamerablende verändern die Bildelemente in Abhängigkeit der Luminanz ihre Farbe. Dies ermöglicht eine saubere Helligkeitseinstellug ohne teueres, externes Equipment.

Für in leichtere Beurteilung hilft die beiliegende Farbtafel. Beim Filmen von Objekten wie z.B. Menschen ist es ein übliches Prozedere die Helligkeit der Gesichter auf etwa 56 IRE zu setzen.

Der False Color Filter zeigt diesen Helligkeitsbereich in PINK an. Mit steigender Helligkeit (Öffnen der Blende), verändert das Objekt seine Farbe von PINK zu GRAU über mehrere GELBstufen. Überbelichtete Objekte (mehr als 101 IRE) werden auf dem Monitor in ROT dargestellt. Unterbelichtete Objekte werden in DUNKELBLAU, geklippte Bildinhalten werden in FUCHSIA dargestellt.

GRÜN werden Bildinhalte mit etwa 45 IRE dargestellt. Diese zeigt eine neutrale oder mittlere Helligkeit der Objekte (Ausnahme: Personen) an.

Der Peaking Filter hilft dem Kameramann das schärfst-mögliche Bild zu erlangen. Nach der Aktivierung werden alle Farben aus dem Bild genommen so dass ein Schwarz-Weiß-Bild übrig bleibt. Der interne Prozessor zeigt nun an den scharfen Kanten Rot an. Wenn der Kameramann die Schärfenkontrolle der Kamera einschaltet, haben verschiedene Teile des Bildes rote Kanten. Dies zeigt an, dass dieser Teil des Bildes scharf und im Fokus liegt. Der Finale Fokus wird erreicht, indem der Kamerafokus solange verändert wird, bis der gewünschte Schärfegrad erreicht ist. Diese Funktion arbeitet am besten bei einem sauber ausgeleuchteten Bild mit ausreichendem Kontrast.

The V-LCD50 monitor can be powered by 9 different prosumer and DSLR batteries for greater flexibility and longer use. No assembly is required and the bracket can be easily attached or removed in seconds. Simply attach the battery adapter to the back of unit by screwing in the included ¼-20 connector to the bottom of the monitor. Even with the battery adapter attached, the monitor can still be mounted to any ¼-20 arm, bracket, or rig.
