Boost your performance

You need GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 6 if the hardware and software combination you intend to use runs in your computer but causes over-current or overheating problems. GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 6 is a hardware-only solution: no software required. It provides its own power supply and cooling; it requires no power from the host computer. Simply plug the host adapters in your computers’ PCIe slots, connect GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 6, install six double-wide GPUs or six single-wide GPUs, power up and install device drivers.

 

 

3 Sets of 4 PCI Express x16 Slots

GPU-Xpander Rack Mount provides three GPU-Xpander units, each with four PCIe x16 slots. Connect all three MIBs to each of three adapters in one host or connect each unit to an adapter in each of three hosts. Each MIB supports one host computer. Each host computer must have at least one PCIe x16 expansion slot available for the host adapter. A host computer that supports all three GPU-Xpander units in one Rack Mount 6 enclosure must have at least three PCIe x16 expansion slots available. Each of the three MIBs supports either four single-wide adapters for a total of twelve adapters or two double-wide adapters for a total of six adapters.

 

Each host computer must have at least one PCIe x16 expansion slot available for a host adapter. A host computer that supports all three MIBs in one Rack Mount 6 enclosure must have three PCIe x16 expansion slots available. Three host computers that each support one MIB in a Rack Mount 6 enclosure must have one PCIe x16 expansion slot available.

 

 

Independent Power and Cooling

GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 6 independently powers and cools each GPU-Xpander unit inside the enclosure. Each MIB has its own cooling fan and power supply.

 

Each MIB in Rackmount 6 has its own power supply, so when you shut off a host with one Host Interface Controller (HIC) connected to one MIB, it doesn't affect the other MIB, HIC and host computer.

 

 

Easy access

Ease out GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 6, remove the top cover and you have access to all GPUs inside. Removing and replacing GPUs or other cards could not be easier.

 

 

Secure and stable PCI express expansion

Each GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 6 houses six GPUs you can access across the network for graphical rendering or for HPC processes. Each occupies 4U of space, securely mounted within your rack mount cabinets with your connected host computers as well as your servers and networking equipment.


GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 6 is also available for use with rack mount Cubix LaserBlades as well as third-party blade and other rack mount servers. A rack mount server needs only rack space available immediately above or below it and one PCI Express slot available. Install a host adapter in each blade or tower server, connect each to GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 6 and install the device drivers. Now your “slot and watt limited” blade or rack mount computers have one or more GPUs or other adapters available.
