Add up to 16.48 teraflops of computational power to your datacenter. The GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 8 is a 4U, external PCI Express (PCIe) expansion chassis that can support 1-4 server connections with up to 16 graphics processing units (GPUs). This enables massive parallel calculations separate from the server, greatly enhancing system performance and flexibility.

 

 

Lots of options

GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 8 is specifically qualified with the Cubix XpanderBlade server but you can connect to virtually any server on the market with the Cubix host interface controller (HIC). Furthermore, because the GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 8 separates parallel processing from the server itself, you'll have greater freedom to allocate server assets to other tasks.

 

 

GPU-Xpander Rack Mount provides 4 GPU-Xpander units, each optionally with four PCIe x16 slots. Connect all four MIBs to each of four adapters in two host or connect each unit to an adapter in each of four hosts. Each MIB supports one host computer. Each host computer must have at least one PCIe x16 expansion slot available for the host adapter. A host computer that supports two GPU-Xpander units in one Rack Mount 8 enclosure must have at least two PCIex16 expansion slots available. Each of the four MIBs supports either four single-wide adapters for a total of 16 adapters or two double-wide adapters for a total of eight adapters.
